GRANT PROGRAMS

ALLEN COUNTY

 

The Allen County Board of Commissioners intend to make application to the Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA) to access U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Fiscal Year 2017 funding available under the following Ohio Small Cities  Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs.  Programs under Community Development: Allocation Program, Economic Development, Critical Infrastructure, Downtown Revitalization, Residential Public Infrastructure, Neighborhood Revitalization, Microenterprise, discretionary, and any other programs announced by ODSA. Programs under Affordable Housing: Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP), Housing Assistance Grant Program (OHTF funds), Housing Development Assistant Program (HDAP), discretionary, and any other programs announced by ODSA. Programs under Homeless and Supportive Housing: Homeless Assistance Grant Program (HAGP), Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program, Supportive Housing Program, Emergency Shelter Grant Program, discretionary, and any other programs announced by ODSA. The first of the required two public hearings for any of the grant programs listed above will be held at 11:30 a.m. on March 9, 2017, at the Allen County Commissioners’ Conference Room, 204 North Main St. 3rd Floor, Lima, Ohio 45801. The purpose of the public hearing is to provide citizens with pertinent information about the CDBG, CHIP, and other programs, including an explanation of eligible activities and program requirements.  Citizens and officials from villages and townships are encouraged to attend this meeting on March 9, 2017, to provide their input on the County’s proposed CDBG program.
