ACCOUNT CLERK
FULL-TIME
Job Duties
1. Pay invoices and maintain expense accounts. Compile, sort and process all accounts
payable in MUNIS (Allen County’s accounting system.) Request necessary purchase
orders and intradepartmental transfers. Reconcile accounts and funds as appropriate
and necessary. Handle vendor inquiries and vendor documentation for purchasing.
2. Manage Facility Dude and Utility Tracker (Allen County’s program to track building
structures and utilities), input work orders, dispatch and/or route to proper
individual(s). Request quotes/proposals from vendors, process vendor contract
language and gather required contract documents. Answer phones and greet public.
Prepare correspondence for weekly meetings. Prepare/type correspondence. Process
timesheets for employees.
3. Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail. Assist county employees with mailing of
documents by using the postage machine.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have attained a high school diploma. Prefer an individual with an Associates
Degree or equivalent two-year or technical school; or at least one year related
business or accounting experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of
education and experience. Knowledge and experience using MUNIS, Microsoft Office,
telephone, copier/fax machine, postage machine and a calculator essential. Must have
excellent communication skills.
Salary Information
Salary commensurate with experience. Position shall be full-time not to exceed 40
hours per week. Additional hours may be required upon request. Benefits provided.
Subject to Public Employees Retirement System (PERS).
